Leesburg Post Office Work Day
Good rainy morning!
On Monday, Mary Marshall Hansen, Jane Kates and myself tackled the very public garden space next to the Leesburg Post Office.
It was a much neglected and very visible site that is now dandelion free, weeded and mulched with a few new plants, and more to come!
We felt very accomplished and it was SO much fun!!!! Thanks to them for wanting to “get their hands in the dirt”!
So excited ~ Jeannie Perin has opened her gardens at “ Edgewood” for a pop-up tour next Thursday, June 17, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
Edgewood - 1676 Rokeby Road, Upperville ~ Thank you – Jeannie!!
There is more ! - Nicky Perry is opening her gardens at “Oakwood” to us for a tour in late September! Date is TBD ~ So nice of her!
We have reservations for a tour at HaaShushrooms in Goochland August 1 and /or August 2. It is a mushroom farm that was featured in Virginia Living this month -
And an opportunity to identify, harvest and learn all things mushrooms in the cool of the forests along streams. Let me know if you are interested in going. Road trip!
I look forward to see y’all this Wednesday, June 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Lauren Woolcott’s.
Have a wonderful day~
Peggy
